Christmas is in the air around the Kufsteinerland. During the Advent Season, the 4 weeks before Christmas, the town of Kufstein and the Kufstein Fortress are transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland.
Live music, culinary delights and a varied programme for the whole family. In the historic fortress, the focus is on handicrafts. The Christmas market in Kufstein's town park is cosy and informal. A traditional Christmas market is held by the lake in Thiersee.

Christmas Market at the Kufstein Town Park
Details
In the central located town park visitors can stroll around a decorated and illuminated market. Christmas presents, Tyrolean delicacies such as Zillertaler Krapfen and Kiachln. Punch and mulled wine in various flavours are served in traditional mugs. Kids enjoy a ride on the carousel and nostalgic miniature train. Live music and lots of little surprises create a festive atmosphere in the town centre of Kufstein.
The Christmas market in Kufstein Town Park takes place from Wednesday to Sunday between the 22nd November and 22nd December 2024.
The Kufstein Fortress puts on a Christmas dress during Advent.
Soak up the enjoyable atmosphere at Kufstein Fortress during the `Christmas magic‘. Stroll around the fortress and the historic casemates, where original handicraft is presented live. Listen to traditional brass musicians and singers. Children can do crafts and bake biscuits. The exhibitions and the organ remain open throughout Advent season.

A traditional Christmas Market is held by the lake of Thiersee
Traditional live music from the brass musicians of Vorderthiersee and the church choir from Hinterthiersee. Market stalls offer regional delicacies. Enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride.
The `Christkindlmarkt` in Thiersee takes place on Sunday, 15th December 2024.

Eight regions have joined forces under the umbrella brand "Advent in Tirol." These regions include Achensee, Hall in Tirol, Innsbruck, Kufstein, Rattenberg, Schwaz, Seefeld, and St. Johann in Tirol. Our mission as the "Advent in Tirol Group" is to collaboratively create a delightful and atmospheric pre-Christmas season at our Advent markets in Tirol.
To be part of Advent in Tirol, the highest quality standards must be met, from the visual appearance to the diverse offerings. Enchanting program highlights that focus on traditions and customs are essential. The markets, in a typical Tyrolean manner, facilitate encounters between people from near and far.
