Tour description

Hikers exploring Tirol on foot will feel as free as a bird. The eagle walk is one of the 'Great Walks' of Tyrol chosen by a jury. They offer hikers the chance to get away from it all, discover the beauty of nature and experience a true adventure in the Alps.

"This hike underlines the fascinating contrast between alpine wilderness and city life, particularly on the Goetheweg Trail overlooking Innsbruck.", says Mike Rutter, mountain guide with the Austrian Alpine Club.

Continue

  • The Eagle Walk is ideal not only for hardcore hikers wishing to complete the whole route but also for those who want to explore certain areas of Tirol one by one. The hike can be broken down into sections of one or several days. Experience hiking in high alpine terrain, sure-footedness and a head for heights are, however, required on many of the stages.
